Bar de l'Abattoir
Located across from the ENA (National School of Administration)
and right next to the future Museum of Modern Art, l'Abattoir
is a spot where you're sure to find a wide variety of people,
the crowd being predominantly uninhibited students who are there
to have a ball.
There's mingling a-plenty in the lively hubbub on weekends. The
cow and piggy-theme decorations have now given over to an oriental
atmosphere, with cozy pillow-filled lounging corners.
On Friday and Saturday nights some of the furniture is taken away
to make room for the frenzied crowd, some even jumping onto the
tables and benches to dance.
There is a concert (rock, soul, gypsy music and others) every
Wednesday night.
And if you get hungry you can satisfy your appetite with scrumptious
sandwiches filled with regional sandwich spreads, served at noon
and in the evening.
