Elastic Bar
The Elastic Bar is the only bar in Strasbourg which is really
on the edge.
It might go unnoticed in London or Berlin but in a subdued city
like Strasbourg it's really one of a kind. The Elastic Bar is
decorated in a minimalist-disorderly style, with a colorful street-front.
Its patrons are a friendly lot with an often unconventional look
who refuse to fit into the politically correct mold.
But it's in the music that you feel the real difference.
Here you'll hear only the latest in music trends, truly new
sounds from all over Europe and even cuts you won't hear anywhere
else.
It's just the ticket for the music-loving night-clubber.
27, Rue des Orphelins, Strasbourg.
Open every day from 5:00 pm to 3:00 am
and until 4:00 am on Fridays, Saturdays and holiday-eves.
Tapas Café
Surroundings reminiscent of a bodega with wooden tables and tall
barrels with bar stools, the Tapas Café is becoming very popular
with a vast patronage drawing from a wide range of age groups.
You'll find a variety of beers, sangria, wine and tapas on the
menu, what you need to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite
in a very Spanish atmosphere, with music ranging from flamenco
to rock, sometimes drifting towards salsa or other Latino beats
in the late evening hours.

Au Camionneur
Open for several months now, Au Camionneur is a place everyone's
talking about.
Spacious with hip decorations and screening at the entrance by
bouncers dressed like roadies, the Camionneur has what it takes
to become one of the hot-spots for night-revellers.
You can either talk with friends without having to shout or get
up and dance to the beat on the dance floor.
It's a place in the groove and on the move so hop aboard if you
don't want to miss the bus.
Music-wise you'll hear the latest tendencies of techno, trip-hop
and jungle in the first part of the evening then around 1:30 am
dance music takes the lead.
Theme parties with international music are organized from time
to time so pick up the schedule right away.

Le Rock City
Rock City has recently changed hands, so we can expect it to be
given a breath of fresh air.
You can be sure that for at least several weeks the "Rock" will
attract a lot of attention, in particular from the night-clubbing
"fashion victim" set.
And since the Hard Rock Café atmosphere with beautiful guitars
decorating the place remains unchanged, as do the famous "afters"
to end the night with style, Strasbourg's night crowd can only
benefit from the change-over.
