Das Museum befindet sich im ersten Stock vom Rohan-Palast. Es zeigt Geschichte der europäischen Malerei vom Mittelalter bis zu 1870: italienische und flämische Primitivität (u. a. Werke von Giotto und Memling); Renaissance und Manierismus (Botticelli, Raphaël, Véronèse, Lucas de Leyde, El Greco); Barock, Realismus und Klassizismus bis zum 17. und 18. Jahrhundert (Rubens, Van Dyck, Stilleben und holländische Landschaften, Vouet, Philippe de Champaigne, Largillière, Boucher, Canaletto, Tiepolo, Ribera, Goya); Werke des 19. Jahrhunderts (Corot, Courbet, Chassériau, Brion).
Geöffnet täglich außer dienstags, von 10:00 bis 18:00 pausenlos.
