Never was there a better known gateway than Saverne. Communication between France and other European countries with Germany and Switzerland found passage through this city.
The downward slope from the Phalsbourg plateau towards the Zorn valley and the Rhine plains is one of the most spectacular sights in Alsace. The panorama is amazing, dazzling the senses.
